Frequently asked questions
Waiting time & Appointments
From April 2010 we take only limited appointments. One appointment per doctor per hour. This is to satisfy clients who really want an appointment. The rest of the hour is allocated for the walk-in patients.
While it may cause inconvenience to some of our patients, we find we can see and manage our patients better with "first-come, first-serviced" policy.
Due to the vastly varied clinical presentations, it is difficult to predict how long the wait would be. The person being seen before you may have a simple cold (which takes the doctor minimal time to diagnose) or an impending heart attack (which may take longer to diagnose, treat and organise transfer to hospital).
Waiting time range : 5 min - 1.5 hour
We appreciate your patience and understanding.
You can still see you doctor of choice, for whatever type of consultation you require.
Billing
Most patients with valid Medicare cards will be bulk-billed.
For others a consultation fee will apply.
1. Students: $50.00 2. Standard consult: $60.00 3. Long consult: $75.00
Costs of tests and procedures will be discussed if required.
We have EFTPOS facility at reception desk.
Work Related Injuries

Specialist Referrals
The doctor must see you and take a full history and examination prior to giving you the referral you require. It is important for the doctor to understand your condition. Only with such knowledge, can she or he provide your specialist with a meaningful letter of referral.
She or he may or may not agree with your request.
Medical Certificate
The doctor must see you and take a full history and examination prior to giving you a medical certificate on your condition to study or work. The date of examination will be specified on the certificate. It is illegal to back date medical certificates.
Overseas Visitors
All overseas visitors must pay a consultation fee by cash. There are EFTPOS facilities in the surgery.
Home Visits
